Welcome to Soft Animal.
Soft Animal is the publication and creative wing of Wild Geese Counseling Collective, a counseling practice and home for inner life. We believe that healing, creativity, intimacy, and spirituality are not separate pursuits. They are deeply intertwined ways of returning to ourselves and to one another.
Our work lives at the intersection of therapy, embodiment, creativity, performance, sexuality, and contemplative practice. We are less interested in helping people become someone new than in helping them remember who they have always been beneath expectation, fear, and disconnection.
Each member of our collective brings a different doorway into this work.
Maddie Nutt helps people tend to their inner and spiritual lives, cultivating presence, meaning, and compassionate self-awareness.
Nick Garig helps people cultivate intimacy through relationships, sexuality, embodiment, and performance, inviting people into deeper connection with themselves and with others.
Nikki Thompson Brown helps people reconnect with their creative voice, moving through artistic blocks and nurturing the courage to imagine, make, and share.
Though our paths are different, our purpose is shared.
